Ling Yin forgot about the weather outside; it looked like it was going to rain. Originally, they wanted to go out and celebrate, but since Hua Hua wanted to eat steak, they dismissed the idea of celebrating outside.

It’s hard to understand this obsession with eating his steaks, as if one could never get tired of them.

Ling Yin looked at him with deep affection and laughed, making Hua Hua feel awkward all over.

"What kind of crappy weather changes on a whim?" Gu Qianqian walked out of the Medical Research Institute, thinking what lousy weather, raining just as she got off work. She had lent her car to someone, so how was she supposed to get home now?

Standing at the entrance of the Medical Research Institute, a mist of water hit her face. Instinctively, she took two steps back to avoid getting her clothes wet.

But no matter how long she waited, the rain showed no sign of stopping; if anything, it got heavier.

There was no choice but to take a taxi; otherwise, she’d be stuck here in the cold wind.

Gu Qianqian looked up at the rain, shielded her head with her bag, and dashed straight into the downpour.

Unexpectedly, after just a few steps, an umbrella appeared over her head, and then someone grabbed her arm. The next second, she found herself falling into a man’s embrace, her shoulder draped with a man’s coat. In one fluid motion, there was no pause; her waist was tightly held in the man’s hand while his other hand steadily supported the umbrella, creating a small world for her.

"You!" Gu Qianqian couldn’t react in time, her gaze fixed on the man’s face.

"Don’t move, be careful not to get wet." Chao Lu smiled as he held her, "My car is just ahead; let me give you a ride."

Without even asking, he directly took her away.

In the heavy wind and rain, Gu Qianqian wanted to push him away, but seeing the large raindrops outside the umbrella, she held back her haughty stance.

"Don’t get so close to me!" Gu Qianqian warned him as they walked.

Chao Lu didn’t seem to hear; the rain was too heavy, and the umbrella could barely cover one person.

The rain pounded on Chao Lu’s back. By the time they reached the car, his back was soaked through.

The thin shirt clung tightly to his back, revealing his well-built physique, but no one was in the mood to admire it.

Opening the car door, Chao Lu finally released Gu Qianqian’s waist and urged, "Get in."

Gu Qianqian immediately jumped into the car, took off his coat, which was already half-wet. She checked her own clothes and, luckily, they weren’t wet, but her shoes were inevitably more than half soaked.

"Do you have a clean towel? My shoes are dirty." As soon as Chao Lu returned to the driver’s seat, Gu Qianqian quickly asked.

Chao Lu: "Let me check."

Unfortunately, he didn’t have one, so Chao Lu took off his wet shirt and handed it over: "Use this to wipe."

Gu Qianqian raised an eyebrow, her gaze falling on his chest. Tsk tsk, this man has a pretty good build. She couldn’t help but take a couple more glances; sexy and well-toned.
