Chapter 11 Talking to a Fool
Chapter 11 Talking to a Fool
"what?"
Xie Mingmu stopped in his tracks, thinking that Minatozaki Sana had discovered his undercover identity. He was genuinely nervous now, but not entirely sure. He forced himself to stay alert and asked her, betting that she was just overthinking things.
"What are you talking about? What do you mean by feeling guilty?"
"Hehe." Sana Minatozaki could clearly see the beads of sweat on Xie Mingmu's forehead, and felt relieved. Yes, it seemed her guess was right; the two of them had indeed had an affair. "You think I didn't notice? I'm a girl with an IQ of 130!"
Sana Minato looked serious, her eyebrows raised. With this aura, Xie Mingmu thought he was seeing a little fox, and he could vaguely see what looked like a fox tail wagging behind her.
Xie Mingmu was getting anxious. This was the most troublesome opponent he had ever encountered in his life. On the surface, the opponent seemed as innocent as Xiu Gou, but he was as shrewd as a fox and saw through his undercover identity at a glance.
Furthermore, Xie Mingmu began to doubt whether this person was really the same one who had been hugging and cuddling with Mina during the day. It was a completely different feeling; she was quite cute when she was with Mina, but with me, she felt like I was interrogating a criminal. Xie Mingmu seriously suspected that Minatozaki Sana had been replaced by aliens.
"What did you figure out?" Xie Mingmu was still trying to deny it. He knew perfectly well that as long as he denied it, it was still not too late, since she had no evidence. He had originally wanted to call her by name, but then he realized he really didn't know what it was. He had originally planned to look up some information when he got back.
Unexpectedly, Mina's teammates were not simple at all. Xie Mingmu once again understood Mina's predicament. How to get along with such a contrasting person was a big lesson.
"Do I really have to spell things out like this? Is Mina-chan's 'friend' an irresponsible person?" Minatozaki Sana stared at Xie Mingmu with wide eyes. Hmm, not bad-looking, about 183 cm tall, and rather thin.
"Okay, I admit it!"
Mina was his last line of defense. When Sana Minato brought this up, Xie Mingmu decided to stop pretending. Yes, he was an undercover agent. If he was to be kicked out, so be it.
Sana Minato still maintained a serious demeanor. Xie Mingmu knew she wanted him to confess more. Based on the broken windows theory, Xie Mingmu didn't care. "Yes, yes, I admit it, it's me, but it has nothing to do with anyone else!" Xie Mingmu knew his identity had been exposed and didn't want to drag other "colleagues" down with him. He still had the professional ethics of a paparazzi.
Seeing that she was still staring at him, Xie Mingmu could only continue, hoping to move her: "You can tell everyone about this, I won't complain. I'll definitely be kicked out of your company after that, but can you not tell me now? I still want..."
Xie Mingmu originally wanted to say that he wanted to see Mina again, but he didn't dare to say it out loud. He had already been discovered to be a paparazzi, so how could he still have the face to see Mina?
At this moment, Sana Minatozaki finally finished scrutinizing Xie Mingmu. "What else do you want?"
"It's nothing." Xie Mingmu was somewhat resigned, his tone weak.
"Are we going to see Mina-chan again?" Sana Minato asked with certainty, completely in control.
"You! How did you know?" Xie Mingmu never expected that this girl would be so prescient; it was truly terrifying! Her IQ was definitely more than 130!
"Isn't it obvious?" Sana Minatozaki said with a hint of pride. A summer breeze blew, lifting her hair and making her smile even more unrestrained.
"Impressive, I didn't expect you to see through me."
"Of course! You still like Mina-chan, right? I also know you two were lovers, but that's in the past." Minatozaki Sana said playfully, then suddenly winked at Xie Mingmu.
Hearing this, Xie Mingmu felt a mix of joy and worry. He hadn't expected things to take such a turn for the better. He thought he had hidden his emotions well, but she had discovered them. Fortunately, his undercover identity hadn't been exposed.
However, it wasn't necessarily a bad thing that she knew he still liked Mina. Xie Mingmu was an open and honest person, and he held this belief regarding relationships:
Let them say what they want, let them see what they want, I don't care. I just want to declare that the person who loves you is me. Yes, that's right, it has to be simple: it's me, love you, love me.
"Yes, that's right!"
At this moment, Minatozaki Sana became serious. She hadn't expected Xie Mingmu to be so frank. For a moment, she didn't know how to respond to this direct approach. In her heart, she acknowledged Xie Mingmu; this man was so open. If conditions allowed, she would extend a helping hand to help them get back together.
"Hello, let's get to know each other. I'm MINA-chan's teammate. My name is Minatozaki Sana, or you can call me Sana. I'm from Japan~" Minatozaki Sana extended her hand.
Xie Mingmu shook her hand; it was soft and small, a chubby little hand. "Hello, nice to meet you. My name is Xie Mingmu, I'm from Tokyo University, but I'm studying in Japan."
"Um..." Minatozaki Sana hesitated, unsure how to address Xie Mingmu, as her habit of addressing him had been gradually assimilated by the rules of the peninsula.
Xie Mingmu's brain once again took over the high ground of intelligence. "I'm from '95. You can call me by my name, or you can call me Oppa~"
"I was also born in '96. I'll call you by your name from now on. Hello, Xie Mingmu."
"Hello, Sana Minatozaki."
Now, Xie Mingmu realized that it was Minatozaki Sana who had noticed his feelings for Mina, so she came to check on him and test him. It seemed that he had been scared for nothing.
The first thing she did was ask a riddle, and she thought she'd been discovered. Although she was inwardly criticizing Minatozaki Sana, she smiled and said, "Your name is quite nice, it sounds good."
Xie Mingmu decided to give his future sister-in-law a compliment, which would be both beneficial and cost-effective!
Sana Minato smiled brightly and looked around: "There are too many people here. Come with me, I want to talk to you."
"it is good."
Sana Minatozaki led the way, and Xie Mingmu was thinking to himself that he should follow her. During this time, he quickly took out his phone to look up information about Sana Minatozaki, to learn about her preferences and personality. He still had to please his sister-in-law.
Soon, the two of them arrived at a secluded corner inside the coffee shop.
Xie Mingmu felt uneasy about this scene. Before coming to the peninsula, he had watched many TV dramas to catch up on his studies, and this kind of scene was all too classic. Was Minatozaki Sana trying to break up the couple? Was this what was going to happen next?
"I'll give you money, get away from my Mina-chan!"
Then Xie Mingmu said reluctantly, "No! Mina is my first love!"
"One hundred million! Leave her!"
"A mere 100 million? Can love be bought and sold? Mina is my beloved... unless, you add..."
Xie Mingmu has been somewhat brainwashed by TV dramas and is gradually becoming immersed in these kinds of plots.
But this feeling of unease intensified as Sana Minatozaki picked up her coffee cup.
