Chapter 1104: Pouring Out Grievances
Not long after, Jiang Jingheng came back, having bought some food and drinks. He handed a hot tea and a bento to Zhuang Zeyang, then gave a cup of red bean milk tea to Mu Yan.
"Have a sip first to warm your stomach."
Mu Yan took a sip of the milk tea from his hand. It was sweet and dispelled the chill in her heart.
Zhuang Zeyang watched the couple being so close, feeling a bit awkward, so he made an excuse to check on the old lady and went into the ward.
Watching his back, Mu Yan suddenly remembered something.
The day she and Mom left back then, Zhuang Yi had uncharacteristically scolded her and Mom.
Could it be he saw those photos and thought Mom had an affair, and that she wasn’t his sister?
It seemed to her that Zhuang Zeyang treated her better than his own son, yet they hardly spent much time together.
So, was it loving someone through her?
"What are you thinking about?" Jiang Jingheng’s voice suddenly came.
Mu Yan snapped back and saw him holding a spoonful of food for her, so she opened her mouth and ate it, then praised, "Delicious."
Jiang Jingheng raised an eyebrow, "Better than mine?"
Mu Yan swallowed the food and eagerly said, "Of course not, hubby’s cooking is the best."
Jiang Jingheng laughed, "Saying nice things won’t get you candy."
Mu Yan giggled, "Saying nice things means I don’t have to lift a finger, someone feeds me."
Jiang Jingheng knew she was just joking around and didn’t mind, continuing to feed her.
The weather was too cold, and he couldn’t bear for her hands to get cold.
Over at the Liang Family, in the living room, Zhuang Chujiao was sitting there sobbing incessantly, embellishing the story of how she and Mom were thrown out of the Zhuang Family.
During the New Year, the families of the four Liang brothers gathered, filling the living room with people.
"The Zhuang Family is really too much," Madam Liang was furious, "Jiaojiao, don’t worry, stay at your uncle’s house first."
Liang Family’s second madam frowned and said, "I told you Zhuang Shaoyang had issues. The last time Ah Rong argued with him and went back to her parents’ house, he didn’t even come to get her, not paying attention to her at all."
"If you ask me, Ah Rong was also in the wrong. She’s just a daughter from a previous marriage; how could she not tolerate others?" The third madam of the Liang Family said sarcastically, "After all, she is the child of the original wife."
"Third sister-in-law, is that how you talk?" Madam Liang said displeased.
The third madam chuckled softly, "The words may not sound pleasant, but I’m telling the truth. If Ah Rong entered the marriage back then, none of this would have happened. So, as a woman, it’s better to be reserved."
"Third aunt, do you think my mom and I haven’t suffered enough?" Zhuang Chujiao glared at her, full of anger.
"Alright, stop talking about this in front of the kids." The third brother of the Liang Family glared at his wife.
The third madam snorted lightly, turning her face away.
She never thought much of this younger sister and couldn’t understand why Zhuang Shaoyang would marry her.
"A divorce is not something Zhuang Shaoyang can decide alone. Where’s your mom? Why didn’t she come back with you? When she comes back, I will definitely not agree to the divorce." The eldest brother of the Liang Family interjected.
At the mention of divorce, Zhuang Chujiao felt even more aggrieved, "Uncle, you don’t know. My dad and mom never actually got a marriage license, so now my dad just kicked her out of the house."
"What did you say?" This shocked everyone in the Liang Family.
What on earth, married for so many years and didn’t get a certificate?
